It is often the case on the White Isle that you’ve had a busy Friday and Saturday entertaining and being entertained, and what you are looking for from your Sunday is something a little more relaxing.
After all, Sunday is a day of rest and this is even more important when on holiday. While lounging by the pool of your luxury villa in Ibiza may sound like the perfect way to spend the day, if you are looking to venture out, there are plenty of other relaxing spots. As well as its famed club scene, Ibiza has long been a great place to enjoy relaxing house music, or the traditional balearic sound of the guitar. We have listed two of our favourite chill out locations for Sunday evenings in Ibiza here. Sit back, relax and enjoy the music.
Drum gathering: The sunset drum session at Benirrás beach is a Sunday institution and attracts a cosmopolitan crowd bonded by the tolerant spirit of Ibiza. In a throwback to the island’s hippy roots, the idea is to ‘drum down the sunset.’ It is an ever popular event, so it is a good idea to get to the beach early. Guitar show: The cool Blue Marlin restaurant in San José is taken over on Sunday afternoons by flamenco guitarist Paco Fernandez for chill-out sounds. View more about Blue Marlin on a Sunday in this YouTube video.
